University students/employees

As a Duke University student or employee, you may opt to use a chosen/preferred first name on your Mobile DukeCard. 

  • If you are a student, you can provide your chosen/preferred first name in DukeHub ("My Profile" -> click the pencil icon next to "Preferred Name")
  • If you are a faculty or staff member, you can edit your chosen/preferred first name at  Duke@Work ("My Info" -> "My Profile" -> "Select or Update your Gender Identity, Pronouns, and Preferred First Name")

Chosen/preferred first names are not available for printing on Duke Health physical DukeCards at this time.
