Your DukeCard provides access to everything from campus academic and administrative buildings to residence halls. With your DukeCard, you'll be able to use your DukeCard FLEX account at campus dining facilities, and stores - virtually eliminating the need to carry cash on campus.

DukeCard Update: Bursar-to-Food & Flex Transfers

Beginning Fall 2026, Duke students who want to transfer funds from their Duke Bursar account to Food and/or Flex will need to opt in to this service online.

What is changing?

  • The Bursar-to-Food and Flex transfer service will become an opt-in service beginning Fall 2026.
  • Students who wish to use the service must first complete the online opt-in request.
  • Once the opt-in request has been completed, students will be able to add funds online through the eAccounts portal.
  • Students can choose whether they want to transfer available Bursar funds to their Food and/or Flex accounts.

After completing the opt-in request, access the eAccounts portal to add funds to your Food and/or Flex accounts.
